Description |
Endorsed: Copy letters, 20 June and 26 July 1802, from Robert Darling to Major General Robert Brownrigg, Horse Guards, and from Brownrigg to Lieutenant Colonel Hadden. Engineer: Robert Darling, Mathematician, Warriston's Close, Edinburgh. Sketch pictorial elevation showing means of supplying Edinburgh Castle "with excellent water from a plentiful spring at the north-east corner of its Rock, which never freezes in winter nor dries in summer, by means of pumps and cisterns within bombproof turrets like a staircase" |
