Description |
'Sheet No II Scroll Plan of the Runrig Lands of Aith, &c, in North Cunningsburgh shewing valuation sections'. By J W Hepburn. [1:11,100] 1 inch = 14 Imperial chains. 704 x 935 mm. Ink and colour wash. Dissected into two sheets. Linen backing. Plan coloured to show the runrig lands of Aith belonging in common tothe Symbister estate, Lady Nicolson and John Bruce of Sumburgh. Lands divided into sections and numbered and referred to the Valuators' Report and a value per acre. Each farm and township marked and named including Aness, Greenmow, Gord and Stanefield farms. Roads, rivers, footbridge, mills, Westhouse Inn, post office, well, sheep fold, (site of) a broch, and coastal features noted. Adjacent owners of the various sections of runrig named including Lady Nocolson, John Bruce of Sumburgh, Francis Heddell, Andrew Gordon Heddell, Charles Hope Heddell and Gilbert Irvine. Key. Note signed by David Inglis, Valuator, George Keith, Valuator and J W Hepburn, Umpire, attesting to the use of plan with the Report of Valuation. |
