Description |
Instrument is for the lands of Drygrange, regality of Melrose, sheriffdom of Roxburgh, which said David had reclaimed from waste; reciting:
(1) Commission to judges - delegate, 6 Sep 1540. (2) Citation of witnesses, 21 Jan 1540/1541, executed, 23 Jan 1540/1541. (3) Feu charter to said William and John. (4) Instrument of sasine following thereon, 21 Jan 1539/1540. (5) Tack by said abbot and convent to said William, 2 Mar 1536/1537. (6) Charter of confirmation by James V of said feu charter, 6 Feb 1539/1540 [R.M.S., iii., 2081] (7) Articles for William and John Linlithqw and depositions of witnesses thereupon.
