The Scottish National Ski Council was formed in Dec 1963 following a conference of Scottish Ski Clubs. The aim of the council is to represent the interests of Scottish skiers and promote ski racing in Scotland. It has developed a technical training and proficiency programme for officials. The council's name was changed to Snowsport Scotland in 1998, becoming the National Governing Body for all snowsports in Scotland including snowboarding, alpine, freestyle and nordic skiing. |
