The Scottish Commercial Travellers' Association was founded in 1903 to organise the commercial travellers of Scotland, to protect their interests and to further the interests of the Commercial Travellers of Scotland Benevolent Fund. The Edinburgh, Leith and District Branch of the Association was formed on 16 December 1905 upon the secession of its members from the Edinburgh and Leith Branch of the United Kingdom Commercial Travellers' Association. The Branch was still in existence in 1984 when these records were deposited. |
