1. No date (Watermark 1827) A list of the Duke of Buccleuch's annual subscriptions to public charities.
2. 1828 August 1 Letter, Henry Smith, Hon Secretary of the committee for building an additional place of worship at Richmond, to the Duke of Buccleuch, seeking a contribution in aid of the committee's aims. Draft reply, 4 August, subscribing £250. (2 items)
3. 1830 February 13 Printed circular of Messrs Price, Hawkes and Badger, Gray's Inn Hotel, drawing attention to the evils of the Truck system of paying wages.
4. 1832 Printed appeal of the Protestants of Ireland to their brethren the Protestants of England and Wales, drawing attention to "the dangers which threaten the Protestant interests of the Empire".
5. 1831 November 7 Letter by the Duke of Buccleuch accepting the office of patron of the new Richmond Dispensary; and donating £50 plus an annual subscription of £5.
6. 1831 November 12 Printed circular by the New Brunswick Company, 19 Water Street, Liverpool, to the Duke of Buccleuch, enclosing a prospectus [not here extant] and inviting the Duke to become an Extraordinary Director.
7. 1831 November 14 Printed circular by "A lover of English Liberty" to the Duke of Buccleuch castigating Conservative supporters for their lack of organised opposition to the Reform movement, and urging them to take certain steps during the prorogation of Parliament.
8. 1831 November 29 Letter by the Earl of Home to the Duke of Buccleuch, enclosing letters in support of a candidate for admission to the Adult Orphan Institution, to which the Duke is a subscriber. (3 items)
9. 1831 December 24 Letter by the Rev Gilbert Beresford, St Andrew's Rectory, Holbourn, to the Duke of Buccleuch, acknowledging a Christmas gift; and offering congratulations on the birth of a son and heir [on 9 September - William Henry Walter, later 6th Duke].
10. 1833 June 21 Letter by John George Children, secretary of the Royal Society, to the Duke of Buccleuch, intimating his (the Duke's) election as a fellow of the Society.
