The following original manuscript material and historical and antiquarian notes, mainly relating to Linlithgow and West Lothian, were gathered by the late James Beveridge, MA., Linlithgow, during many years as local historian and editor of historical manuscripts. The collection was bequeathed by Mr Beveridge to the Keeper of the Records of Scotland. |
