Description |
Discharge by James, Earl of Airlie, to James Scot and said John of 2 years rent. Lenerick, 13 August 1686. Bond by the said Earl of Airlie, in agreement with Cromwell Lochart of Lie, to said John Jack, to obtain remission of his forfeiture. Edinburgh, 9 August 1687. Another bond in the same terms. Assignation by said Cromwell Lockhart of Lee, as having right by disposition and assignation, dated 29 July 1687, from James Wrquhart of Knockleith who had grant of said lands of Nemphlar on behalf of said Earl of Airlie, to said John Jack, of said disposition and other writs. Lee, 11 January 1690. Petition by said John Jack, now indweller in Lanark, for poors assistance to prosecute action against Mr. John Ogilvie, now of Airley, for repayment of 1100 merks paid by him to foresaid James, Earl of Airley, as composition for said lands of Nemphlar. 26 June 1722. [Extract] Decreet obtained at instance of said John Jack against said Mr. John Ogilvie, 13 July 1722. Letters of horning and poinding following thereon. 13 July 1722. In dorso: execution thereof. Caption following thereon. 1 December 1722. Note of annual rents due by Airlie to John Jack. 1722 Disposition, translation and assignation by John, David and William Jack, sons of said John Jack, now deceased, to John Nairn of Greenyeards, of sums of money contained in foresaid decreet.
