Crown Charter confirming charter of sale, dated at Stevinstoun 18 May 1554, by Alexander, Earl of Glencairn, to Adam Boyd in Penkill and Helene Kennedy, his spouse, of the 40s. lands of the principal mansion of Challschwrek, inhabited by Duncan Dickson, in earldom of Carrick and sheriffdom of Air. Witnesses to charter of sale, James Campbell of Dowcathall, Alexander Cunynghame of Hill, Sir James Walker, vicar of Stevinstoun, Patrick Mowat, clerk of the parish of Dregarne and Henry Prestoun, notary public; Crown charter dated at Edinburgh 28 June 1554.
