The Scottish Railway Stockholders' Protection Association, Limited, was formed following a meeting in Glasgow on 19 Dec 1917 and incorporated with limited liability on 12 Aug 1918 to press for fair treatment of railway stockholders in the measures to be taken by government in the post-war period. With the incorporation on 14 Oct 1932 of the British Railway Stockholders' Union Limited, the Association acted as a Scottish Branch. In terms of Edinburgh Gazette Notice of 2 Mar 1948, the Association was removed from the Register of Companies in June 1948. |
