Description Including: (1) 1915 May 29. 'The Leith Observer', containing a report of the disaster on the Caledonian Railway near Gretna in Dumfriesshire in which the First (Imperial Service) Battalion of the 7th Royal Scots suffered many fatalities. Many of the dead came from Leith, where the regiment had its headquarters. (2) 1918 Apr 12. 'Edinburgh Evening News'. (3) 1918 Apr 15. 'Edinburgh Evening Dispatch'. (4-7) Photographs and notices of soldiers killed or wounded in action. (8-10) Poems and cartoons. (11) Writings titled 'In the Land of Pharaoh - 6th Royal Scots in Humorous Vein'.
