1. (no. 6) Extract registered heritable bond by William McDowall Johnstone of Gillespie and William Johnston younger thereof in favour of Andrew Adam younger of Garrioch, minister of the gospel at Whithorn, for the sum of £525 sterling over the lands of Gillespie and Craignarget, lying within the parish of Old Luce and shire of Wigtown, dated 15th June 1763 and registered in the Sheriff Court Books of Wigtownshire the 29th September thereafter, with other writs relative to said debt consisting in all of five pieces in the inventory.
2. (no. 15) Grounds of heritable debts over said lands consisting of 14 numbers in the inventory.
3. (no. 16) Instrument of sasine in favour of William Leggatt younger of Barlockhart in said lands of Gillespie and Craignarget, in security of said first mentioned debt, on disposition and assignation from the said Andrew Adair, dated said sasine 23rd February 1786, and recorded in the Particular Register of Sasines for the shire of Wigtown the 8th March thereafter.
4. (no. 17) Instrument of sasine in favour of the said William Leggatt in said lands of Gillespie and Craignarget in security of heritable debts for £2,000 scots, £70 sterling and 10,000 merks scots, on dispostion and assignation by Mrs Jean Hunter Blair of Dunskey, wife of James Hunter Blair of Robertlands, and Mrs Clementina Blair or Bell, widow of John Bell late writer to the signet, both granddaughters and heirs portioners of John Blair elder of Dunskey, by John Blair younger, his eldest son, and Mrs Agnes Kennedy or Blair, his wife, their father and mother, with consent therein mentioned, dated said sasine 23rd February 1786 and recorded in the Particular Register of Sasines for Wigtownshire 8th March thereafter. |
