Incorporated under the powers of the Railways Construction Facilities Act 1864 under Board of Trade Certificate dated 18 August 1884 and worked and maintained by the North British Railway under agreement and lease made in 1891 for a period of 999 years.
The company was amalgamated with the North British Railway under the North British Railway (General Powers) Act of 6 August 1900 as from 1 August 1900.
The North British Railway became part of the London and North Eastern Railway as from 1 January 1923 under the North Eastern, Eastern and East Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30 December 1922. |
