The Dundee and Perth Railway, incorporated by Act of 31 July 1845 (8 & 9 Vic. c.157) was authorised by Act of 31 August 1848 (11 & 12 Vic. c.154) to take in lease the undertaking of the Dundee and Arbroath Railway and to change its name to the "Dundee and Perth and Aberdeen Railway Junction Company".
The Dundee and Perth and Aberdeen Railway Junction Company was vested in the Scottish Central Railway from 31 July 1863 under powers of Act of 28 July 1863 (26 & 27 Vic. c.223).
The Scottish Central Railway was amalgamated with the Caledonian Railway under the Caledonian and Scottish Central Amalgamation Act of 5 July 1865.
The Caledonian Railway became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway as from 1 July 1923 under the North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1923 dated 29 June 1923. |
