Incorporated under Act of 15 August 1853.
Under Act of 29 June 1865 (28 & 29 Vic. c.134) the company was amalgamated with the Scottish Central Railway as from 1 August 1864.
The Scottish Central Railway was amalgamated with the Caledonian Railway under the Caledonian and Scottish Central Amalgamation Act of 5 July 1865.
The Caledonian Railway became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway as from 1 July 1923 under the North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1923 dated 29 June 1923. |
