Incorporated under Act of 21 July 1856.
The company was amalgamated with the Glasgow and South Western Railway as from 1 August 1865 under the Glasgow and South Western Railway (Amalgamation) Act of 5 July 1865.
The Glasgow and South Western Railway became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway as from 1 January 1923 under the North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30 December 1922. |
