5 letters from the Leslie family [Earl of Leven, Lord Balgonie and Geo. Melville Leslie (2nd son)] addressed to John Campbell, iron monger, Edinburgh, who became a minister of Kingsland Chapel, Dalston, London. He was founder of the 'Edinburgh Missionary Society', later of the London Missionary Society, also a founder of the 'Royal Tract Society'. Excepting letter no. 1, all refer to the illness and death of the Countess. |
