Gideon Murray was born on 5 February 1710, marticulated at Balliol College, Oxford and was admitted into holy orders in 1733. It appears that he died in June 1788 and is buried at Wandsworth in Surrey. Patrick Murray was born on 27 February 1703 and was admitted a member of the Faculty of Advocates in 1723. He then entered the army in the same year but finally returned to Scotland in 1740. He was like on of his other brothers, Alexander, according to Walpole, an active Jacobite but he did not give the government an opportunity of obtaining evidence of any act of treason. He died on 3 August 1778. |
