James Loch (1780-1855) was eldest son of George Loch of Drylaw. He took a particular interest in estate management, and is indelibly associated with the Sutherland estates following his work for the Marquis and Marchioness of Stafford. He entered parliament as MP for St Germans, Cornwall, in 1827 and from 1830 to 1852 was MP for Wick burghs. |
