1487/8 Mar 8 Letter of reversion by Rankin Muir (Mure) in favour of Henry Mundell (Mundwell) of Eagerness or Eggerness (Eg[er]ness, Sorbie parish, Wigtownshire) in respect of the two merklands of old extent called Gategill Mundell (gaitgill mu[n]dwell) in the parish of Borgue, stewartry of Kirkcudbright and lordship of Galloway which Muir, his heirs or assignees is to resign in favour of Mundell on receipt of £40 scots being paid to him at the high altar of the parish church of Wigtown at Whitsunday or Martinmas following on forty days' notice of the event. Witnesses: Simon McCristie or McCristin (makerystyne), Malcolm ? McGilloch (makgilhauche), Gilbert McClelland (Maklellane), Gilbert of Bute, Patrick Hannah (ahannaye) and Thomas McGuffog (makguffok).
