The Jedburgh Railway Company was a small, local company which promoted the construction of the short stretch of track between Jedburgh and Roxburgh. Parliamentary approval for the line was obtained on 25 July 1855 and it opened for business the following year (17 July 1856). The line was worked by the North British Railway who eventually took over the Jedburgh Company on 3 July 1860. |
