(1) 1607 November 12, Aberdeen Charter of transumpt and confirmation by Patrick, Lord Lindores, and Patrick, Master of Lindores, of:
1606, July 16, Aberdeen Charter by Thomas Johnnstoun, elder of Middill Disblair, to John Johnnstoun of that Ilk, his heirs male and assignees, of lands of Middill Disblair, Ordye, Toux of Disblair, and lands of Swetoun, with particle of Bruntland Waird, regality of Lindores, barony of Fintrey, sheriffdom of Aberdeen, with holding a me from the Commendator of Lindores. Reddendo, £16:6s Scots as old rental and 4s augmentation for Middill Disblair, Ordye, and Toux of Disblair, with duplicand at entry of heir, and for Swetoun and Bruntland Waird, £8 Scots old rental and 4s augmentation, with duplicand at entry of heir, reserving granter's liferent. Lands to be redeemable on payment of a "crown of the sone" within the parish kirk of St Nicholas in Aberdeen at term of Whitsunday or consignation with treasurer or dean of guild of Aberdeen. Written by Mr Andrew Clark, notary public, who witnesses with Robert Johnnstoun of Kendill, James Johnnstoun of Bandach, James Johnnstoun, son to James Johnnstoun, parson of Monymuske, James Davidsoun, notary public, and Andrew Kellie, burgess of Aberdeen, and William Johnnestoun, brother to John Johnnstoun of that ilk. Subscribed by the notaries for granter.
Confirmation written by Mr Andrew Clark, notary public, who witnesses with James Leslie, fiar of Otterstoun, William Dalgarnocht of that ilk, Mr Robert Paip, advocate, George Crichtoun of Tillikerie, Gilbert Johnnstoun of Overtoun, and John Chalmer, esquire.
(2) 1654 January 11, Marnoch Kirk Charter of wadset by Robert Crichtoune of Condland. Narrates marriage-contract dated at Auchintoull 26 March 1653 between Walter Crichtone, his 2nd son, and Janet Innes, his spouse, daughter of George Innes alias Reidfuird, then at Milne of Auchintoull, now in Tillidoune, whereby for 1,150 merks Scots and 500 merks of "penneye worthes" present granter is bound to infeft them, and longer liver, and children to be gotten between them, whom failing to heirs of said Walter Crichtone, in sunny half of lands of Condland, barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen, reserving liferent of Marjorie Innes, granter's spouse, in said lands, with lands of Gariesburne during said liferent, redeemable by James Crichtone, eldest son of said Robert Crichtone, for 2,000 merks Scots. Written by Samuel Turner, servant to Walter Hacket of Mayen, sheriff-clerk and commissary-clerk of Banff. (3) 1671 July 20, Edinburgh Disposition and Assignation by James Halyburtone, writer, Edinburgh, to Marjorie Halyburtone, his sister, relict of Patrick Wat, writer in Edinburgh. Narrates apprising of 8 May 1662 (abbreviate reg Reg of Apprisings 5 July 1662) at instance of Patrick Wat, writer in Edinburgh, and George Wat, notary public in Banff, later messenger in Edinburgh, against John Wat of Milne of Forgue, their brother, of lands of Little Forgue, with rights in Moss of Hairmoss, barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen, for 2,624 merks 10s:8d Scots principal and 131 merks 2s:8d Scots sheriff's fee. Narrates Decreet of Court of Session of 7 February 1662 against said John Wat. Narrates use of his name in said decreet in trust, and grants assignation thereto in favour of his sister. Written by Mr William Thomsone, younger, writer Edinburgh, who witnesses with Mr William Thomsone, WS, and Mr Robert Innes, writer, Edinburgh.
(4) 1673 July 16, Kynnardye Charter by David Gregorie of Netherdaill with consent of Alexander Davidsoun in Comislie in favour of James Davidsone of Pardargue, in liferent, and Alexander Davidsone, his son, and his heirs and assignees whomsoever in fee, of town and lands of Pardargue, with rights of winning peats in the loch moss of Cranloch and right of transporting them by accustomed routes, lying in barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, and sheriffdom of Aberdeen, and with power to James Davidsoun to alienate said lands during his lifetime, and to redeem same from said Alexander Davidsone etc by payment between 10 am and 4 pm of 30s. Scots in tolbooth of Aberdeen where the sheriff administers justice on 40 hours notice. Holding de me or a me. Written by Alexander Davidsone, son to the grantee. Witnesses, John Gordoun in Kinnardye, George Andrew there, John Abernethie, elder of Quhorskie, and John Innes of Knokorthe, inserter of date and witnesses.
(5) 1673 August 12 Sasine at hands of Patrick Leslye of Parkhall, baillie for David Gregorie of Netherdaill to James Davidson of Pardargue of Pardargue etc on charter of 16 July 1673. Notary, Andrew Brockie, Aberdeen diocese. Witnesses, William Alexander in Raich, John Watt in Pardargue, John Lourie and Robert Wilsoun, servants to said James Davidsoun. Reg PRS Aberdeenshire 5 September 1673.
(6) 1676 December 2 Sasine at hands of William Davidsone, bailie for David Gregorie of Kinardie, to James Davidsone of Pardargue, for himself and Alexander Davidsone, his eldest son, on:
1676 July 13, Aberdeen Disposition by David Gregorie of Kinardie to James Davidsone of Pardargue, in liferent, and Alexander Davidsone, his eldest son, in fee, of £60 Scots worth of annualrent of the plough of the town and lands of Haddo occupied by James Spence, parish of Inverkeithnie, sheriffdom of Banff, in addition to former wadset sum. Written by Alexander Davidsone. Witnesses, John Gray of Crichie and David Cruikshank of Balnoone. Notary, George Baxter, Aberdeen diocese. (7) 1678 January 2, Edinburgh Extract Judicial ratification before burgh court of Edinburgh by Marjorie Halyburtoun, relict of Patrick Watt, writer, Edinburgh, spouse to William Pantoun, WS, of Disposition of 1 January 1678 to George Morisone of Bognie of her right to half of lands of Littleforgue with mill thereof, and rights in moss of Hairmoss, as possessed by John Watt of Milne of Forgue, with teinds, barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen.
(8) 1688 January 15, Ordens Disposition and Assignation by William Crichtoune of Comislie, to John Gordoune, sometime in Culphin, now in Ordens of Deskford, and Katherine Crichtoune, granter's daughter, in liferent, and heirs and assignees of said John Gordoune in fee, of his wadset half of Comislie. Grant is made in respect of dowry and tocher of 1,000 merks Scots in Bond of 22 August 1682 with Katherine Crichtoune, his daughter, and Bond for 500 merks Scots of 23 August 1682 (reg BC & S 9 November 1682), and of 500 merks Scots further paid him by said John Gordoune. Narrates Contract of Wadset dated at Kinairdie 4 August 1646 by James, Viscount of Frendraught, to said William Crichtoune of Comislie and Christine Stevinsone, his spouse, of lands of Comislie commonly called the Nether Pleughe, with rights to peats etc in mosses of Woolfhowls and Monellie, barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen. Narrates tack of teinds in their favour of said lands for 3s:4d Scots. Narrates Sasince 5 August 1646, Mr James Skene notary, reg PRS berdeen 6 August 1646. Narrates he has granted to Mr George Crichtoun, his only son, half of said lands of Comislie. Written by James Brocky, son to James Brocky, notary public. Witnesses, Rev James Hendersone, minister at Deskford, James Stronach, merchant there, and John Dougall there.
(9) 1698 May 20 Sasine at hands of Duncan Grant in Conland, baillie for late Robert Crichtone of Conland, to Walter Crichtone, now eldest surviving son to said Robert Crichtone, in sunny half of Condland etc on Charter of 11 January 1654. Notary, William Murray, clerk, Moray diocese. Witnesses, William Crichtone, portioner of Conland, Robert Crichtone, his eldest son, Alexander Stuart of Lesmurdy, and George Andrew, tailor, Alexander Lesly, younger of Overtulloch, George Baxter in Frendraught, John Sandisone there, and William Harper, gardener there. Reg GRS 23 June 1698.
(10) 1698 May 23, Frendraught. Disposition by Walter Crichtone, eldest surviving son of late Robert Crichtone, referring to contract in favour of granter and Janet Innes, then his spouse, of 11 January 1654, as to sunny half of Condland, barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen, with lands of Garriesburne during the liferent of Marjorie Innes, his mother, and with power of redemption to James Crichtone, his elder brother, of said lands for 2,000 merks Scots. Grants Assignation of Condland, Garriesburne, and Mill of Condland in favour of Lewis Crichtone, his only lawful son, and Mary Seatone, his spouse, in liferent, and their children in fee. Subscribed notarially by William Murray and Alexander Leslie, notaries, for granter, who appends his initials. Witnesses, Thomas Seatone in Frendraught, George Baxter there, John Sandison there, and William Harper, gardener there.
(11) 1698 May 23 Sasine propriis manibus in favour of Lewis Crichtone, only son to Walter Crichtone of Conland of sunny half of Conland on disposition of 23 May 1698 by said Walter Crichtone. Notary, William Murray, clerk, Moray diocese. Witnesses, Thomas Seaton in Maynes of Frendraught, George Baxter there, John Sandisone there, and William Harper, gardener there. Reg GRS 23 June 1698.
(12) 1702 July 1 Damaged extract decreet of sheriff court of Aberdeen before Andrew Fraser of Kinmundy, sheriff-depute, at instance of Isobell Watt, relict and executrix to Andrew Fordyce in Ternemuire, and John Brown, now her husband, against Theodore Moriesone of Bogny, as heir to George Moriesone of Bogny, his father, and Christian Urquhart, Viscountess Dowager of Frendraught, relict of said George Moriesone. Narrates by marriage-contract of 17 August 1672 said Isobell Watt, and John Watt at Miln of Forgue, her father, were bound to pay 500 merks Scots tocher, while said Andrew Fordyce was also to provide 500 merks Scots to children etc. Assignation 27 December 1675 (reg Aberdeen Sheriff Court 1 May 1696) by George Morieson of Bogny of annualrent of 56 merks Scots corresponding to 500 merks furth of lands of Little Forgue, sometime occupied by Thomas Horne at Bridge End of Forgue, and now by John Alexander there. Action at instance of George Morieson against said Isobell Watt, and Jean and Anna Fordyce, her children, before sheriff of Banffshire, alledging intromissions with lands of Little Forgue had paid off 500 merks, with decreet of 28 February 1695, finding £356:3s:4d Scots still due at Martinmas 1681 and £12 Scots expenses. Isobel Watt decerned executrix-dative to her first husband 2 August 1681 and executrix ad omissa 6 March 1701. Claim for £356:3s:4d Scots and annualrent of 500 merks Scots and expenses.
(13) 1709 October 25, Turriff Wadset by Lues Crichton, son to Walter Crichton, eldest son to late Robert Crichton of Conland, with consent of Mary Seton, his spouse, to George Leslye of North Leslye for 2,000 merks Scots of sunny plough of lands of Condland, barony of Frendraught, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen. Narrates charter by his grandfather of 11 January 1654, and sasine following thereon of in favour of his father of 20 May 1698 (reg GRS 23 June 1698). Narrates disposition by his father of 23 May 1698 and sasine in granter's favour of 23 May 1698, reg GRS 23 June 1698. Wadset to be redeemable at any Whitsunday after 1712 on 60 days' warning within parish kirk of Forgue. Written by Mr Andrew Hay, writer in Edinburgh. Witnesses, Andrew Hay of Mountblairy, Mr Adam Hay, minister of Monquhitter, and Mr John Hay, his eldest son.
(14) 1709 October 25, Turriff Extract ratification before court of barony of Delgatie, Idoch and town of Turriff, held by Mr Andrew Hay of Mountblairy, Bailie for Charles, Earl of Erroll, by Marie Seaton, spouse to Lewes Crighton of Condland, of wadset by her husband to George Leslie of North Leslie of the sun and south plough of lands of Condland, parish of Forgue, sheriffdom of Aberdeen. Executed notarially by Patrick Murray, clerk of court, for said Marie Seaton.

1812 June 2, Edinburgh Great Seal Charter in favour of John Morison of Auchintoul of 2 June 1812 of the lands of Auchintoul comprehending Mains thereof in possession of said John Morison, Cottown and Crofts possessed by Peter Findlater, James Carter, John Morison, Alexander Urquhart, John Johnston, Alexander Morison, Alexander Mackie, Helen Riddoch and James Gerrard, and mill thereof with pertinents, and the pendicles of Backieley, Bogfauld, Cluniehills and Clunibrae, town and lands of Elrick and Finniegand, Mid Culvie and Thoreston, lands called Auldtown and Newtoun of Monedie, part in natural possession of John Morison and part of Alexander Horn, barony of Auchintoul, parish of Aberchirder, sometime called Marnoch, sheriffdom of Banff; also lands of Drawchla or Draiklaw with mill of Drachlaw, lands of Carlingcraig, and Upper and Nether Tortrie, and the Tileworks on said lands, parish of Inverkeithny, sheriffdom of Banff. 1662 March 6 Minute as to meeting, in agreement with order of the Lord President of the Court of Session and Lord Ley, Privy Councillors, of Viscount of Frendraught, Sir David Urquhart of Cromertrie, John Lyon of Muiresk, David Crookshank, William Hay and Alexander Gregory, and as to acceptance of said Viscount of Frendraught, David Crookshank, and William Hay, and refusal of Alexander Gregory, to meet and compromise disputes.
1676 July 15, Aberdeen Instrument at instance of Lewis Crightoun, brother to late Viscount of Frendraught, against David Gregorie of Kinnairdie. Narrates Blank Disposition [of 28 February 1673, Box 7, Bundle 1, No. 4] of Frendraught etc to James, Viscount of Frendraught, now made out in name of George Morison of Bognie, conveying "not only the haill Estate and Leiving of the famillie of Frendraught But also to Defroud the said familie of reversions of Bognies which was woodsett at ane Inconsiderable rate" in defraud of William, Viscount of Frendraught. Narrates he has begun improbation against Bognie, who has commenced an adjudication of the estate, as to insertion of name in said blank disposition. Protests against David Gregorie granting any new Disposition in favour of George Morisone of Bognie. Notary, Duncan Donaldson. Witnesses, Alexander Kellie, writer, Aberdeen, and Robert Abercrombie, messenger, Aberdeen.
1677 July 2 Copy decreet in favour of George Morison of Bognie in action of suspension against him at instance of David Gregory of Kinnairdie as to implement of Bond of Corroboration of 12 February 1675 (reg BC & S 26 August 1676) as to Auchingoul [for relative transactions see Box 5, Bundle 5, No. 5 and Box 7, Bundle 6, No. 1] in implement of Disposition of 28 February 1673 [Box 7, Bundle 1, No. 4] of Frendraught, etc. Procurators in favour of David Gregory and Creditors of Frendraught, Sir John Cuningham and John Steuart. Procurators in favour of George Morisone of Bognie, Sir George Lockhart, Sir Robert Sinclair, Sir George Mackenzie and Patrick Frazer.
1679 January 2 Summons of declarator at instance of William, Viscount of Frendraught, and Lewis Crightoun, his uncle and tutor, against George Morison of Bognie, and Christian Urquhart, Dowager Viscountess of Frendraught, in terms of backbonds of 25 May 1674 [Box 3, Bundle 6, No 4 above] relative to Dispsition by David Gregorie of Netherdale of Mains of Frendraught etc and of 15 October 1675 relative to disposition of lands of Aouchingoull to Sir Patrick Ogilvie of Boyne [Box 5, Bundle 5, No. 5 above]. With copy executions following thereon.

1681 July 13-14, 22, and undated Copy depositions of George Baxter in Templand, James Davidson of Pardargue, William Gordon, advocate, son to Gordon of Lesmoir, and sometime apprentice to Thomas Gordon, writer, David Gregorie of Netherdaill, John Innes, Alexander Leslie of Overtulloch, sometime Chamberlain to Viscount of Frendraught, Thomas Papply, merchant, Banff, sometime servant to Viscount of Frendraught, in action [see Box 7, Bundle 2, No. 4 below] at instance of Adam Gordon, writer in Edinburgh, and others against Viscount of Frendraught, George Morison of Bognie as to blank disposition or disposition granted by David Gregory of Frendraught 28 February 1673 [Box 7, Bundle 1, No.4 below] and whether these were in favour of Viscount of Frendraught, and as to relative transactions with Sir Patrick Ogilvie of Boyne.
1698 October 5, Aberdeen Inventory given up in Sheriff Court of Aberdeen (reg Register of Inventories of heirs cum beneficio inventarii at Edinburgh 14 November 1698) in favour of George Crightoun of Auchingoul as father's brother and heir to James, Viscount of Frendraught, who died 29 December 1674.
Undated Copy undated letter from David Gregory to Adam Gordon at Milne of Kinoir referring to "when the Late Viscount [of Frendraught] was pannelled for my brothers murther" and to payments made in respect thereof.
